And Ebony I did really love how she remained such an unflinchingly driven independent career woman no matter what was thrown her way which is something Barrie does very well but Mia was also impulsive reckless and downright stupid at times Her decisions were often completely illogical Ben seemed to Before You find it admirable that Mia kept pushing the boundaries but I was just gotrustrated with how much needless danger she put herself in I know that this had a lot to do with her mental state and I did appreciate that her PTSD played such a significant role in her characterisation but there are only a certain amount of stupid decisions I can tolerate This book pushed my limits and that made A History of the Guyanese Working People, 1881-1905 for a really difficult read I did appreciate the rest of the characters It was nice to see Ally and Cam play such an important role in this story I liked seeing Mia bond with Chloe It was refreshing to see an independent career woman also being portrayed as maternal Those two characteristics rarely overlap in these sort ofiction stories Blackfrost (Wytch Kings, from my experience Theamily dynamics did satisfy my AllyCam cameo needs but the lack of Ebony and Lee made me want to weep I don t know why we would have spent such a significant portion of the mystery Stupid men jokes following Ebony in the previous bookor her to be cast aside so uickly in this seuel Together she and Lee would have been present Workbook for Emergency Care for a total of three orour pages in the entire book It was so disappointing OverallI did enjoy this story The Hunters Ridge world is addictive and I have definitely The Benn Diaries Vol. 2 fallen in love with the setting and cast as a whole throughout the series While I did really struggle to connect to Mia in thisinale I Macroeconomics found her character well written I liked Ben but not overly and their romance was a little meh The plotline was well paced and engaging just not uite as thrilling as the previous book Iound the ending a little too rushed and predictable Out for ainale but I am happy with the direction of the ending and satisfied with the series as a whole I just wish we had Ebony and Lee moments I would also welcome a novella of Ebony and Lee s wedding Blog Goodreads Twitter Instagram Promise of Hunters Ridge closes this suspense series and probably doesn t The Hero (Thunder Point, function too well as a standalone despite the bite sized recounts of the sinisterorces at work in Hunters Ridge But it does however Longarm and the Dynamite Damsel (Longarm, finally give a resolution between the always bickering Mia Morgan and Ben Bowden theormer of which typically allowing an almighty grudge to colour every Stolen by the Sheikh frustrating interaction between them I picked up this book with a huge sense of anticipatio.
